10. When and where are rehearsals, and what can I
expect?
Nearly all rehearsals are
held every Thursday evening, from September through June from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM,
at Holy Trinity Church, 88th Street between 1st and 2nd
Avenues, in Manhattan.
During concert weeks, other daytime or evening rehearsals will be scheduled.
In addition, some Saturday rehearsals (usually 1:00 PM to
5:00 PM) are scheduled
as required.
Our rehearsals are
devoted mainly to interpretation. You will be coached in foreign language and
English pronunciation at rehearsals. Assignments are made each week, and
singers are expected to learn the notes by themselves. Of course, we go over
the notes of very difficult or tricky passages.
